The Alsfeld City Museum, also known as the Regional Museum Alsfeld, is located in a half-timbered building in the historic old town of Alsfeld, Germany. The museum showcases the cultural history and development of the city of Alsfeld and the surrounding region.

The museum has several permanent exhibitions that cover various topics, including the history of the city and its architecture, local arts and crafts, and the life and work of local personalities. One of the museum’s highlights is its extensive collection of regional costumes, which includes traditional clothing worn by women in the Schwalmtal area, the inspiration for Little Red Riding Hood’s cape.
