"There are several reasons to visit. The theater itself is a bit of a museum, and its free. There is an atmosphere of friendliness and passion whichwe found all over Italy. But best of all is the musical production itself. It's all in Italian but the story is easy to follow. They give you a synopsis. Just pretend its opera. There is the beautiful music, and dance, and the energy of passionate young energy, so totally appropriate to the story of St. Francis and St. Claire. They do not perform every day but they post the dates and times. Do not miss this, especially if you are tired and just want to be entertained...."

"Very beautiful and professionally executed performance on the life of Saint Claire. The performers are young people with amazing vocal/dance talent.It certainly helps to know the story of Saint Claire as the entire performance is obviously in Italian, however, the singing, music, setting/lighting, etc, transcend the language barrier. We were in Assisi with a group of people on a pilgrimage and this was a very beautiful way to wrap up our trip. If you want to further experience Assisi and what the town is about, this is definitely worth the $20 Euro charge...."
