"Sendlinger Tor is another entrance to the old city centre of Munich. Karlsplatz is also an entrance. If you were coming to Munich from the South youwould probably come through Sendlinger Tor. Nowadays it has been swallowed up with the growth of the city so this has become a tourist attraction showing a lovely big arch with smaller arches either side. If you like architecture then this is a good place to visit when you come here...."

"My favorite gate in Munich! With the right light and colors of leaves, the gate was especially beautiful on a autumn afternoon. No ticket needed tosee or go through the gate, it's a part of the public space...."

"Sendlinger Tor is a city gate in Munich that was built sometime between 1285 and 1337. We visited this area purely to see the medieval Christmasmarket that takes over the area around the gate for Christmas. It was nice during the day but at night it can get pretty crowded like all the Christmas markets in Munich. We found some good bratwurst here and there were some nice souvenir shops nearby but the highlight was definitely seeing the Christmas market stalls and lights. Sendlinger Tor is close to the U-Bahn station sharing the same name and is a short walk away from the Marienplatz area. There are quite a few things to see around this area so you can plan to stop here for a quick stop if you are nearby this gate. It is free to visit the area and you only need a few minutes here unless there is an event happening...."

"The staff at check was very good and let us have rooms earlier then expected, however the hotel itself needs a good overall . Holes in towels andextremely threadbare isn't acceptable. Location is excellent..."
