"Wonderful performances of Mascagni's 1901 'commedia dell'arte opera 'Le Maschere' 🎭 🎭 🎭 🎭 on 10th and 11th February 2023 😀🙂🥳🥳 A sheer delight andthoroughly enchanting. I travelled from Scotland to Livorno via Genoa specifically to attend both performances, fulfilling a wish of 45 years to see this opera by one of my most beloved and favourite composers. Cast, chorus, and orchestra were wonderful, production brilliant, and such great fun ☺️😅🤣😂 The theatre has various memorabilia relating to Mascagni. It is a fine theatre and stages plays and concerts as well as opera. I hope to return again to see other performances of rarely performed Mascagni operas. Thank you, Teatro Goldoni, and to all involved for bringing rare Mascagni to the stage...."
