The Old City Marina, known locally as Antalya Marina or Kaleiçi Marina, is one of the best places to visit in Antalya and a highlight to any visit to the city. Once the site of Antalya's very first harbour, this scenic marina remains an active and bustling part of the city, where fishing boats and sleek yachts share the same sheltered waters. Watching fishermen return with their daily catch or seeing luxury vessels gliding in and out of the harbour adds a timeless rhythm to the day. The atmosphere blends old-world charm with modern elegance, making it a great place to visit on a walking tour of Antalya.

About the Old City Marina

The marina sits at the base of Antalya's Old Town (Kaleiçi), enclosed by ancient stone walls and cliffs that once protected the port. Strolling along the promenade, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding hills. Cafés and tea gardens line the waterfront, offering the perfect place to relax and take in the view. The marina's restaurants serve freshly caught fish, grilled or prepared in traditional Turkish style, along with meze dishes and local wines. Whether you're stopping for a quick coffee or a leisurely seafood dinner, the setting is full of charm and authenticity.

"The old Roman Harbour in Antalya, also known as Kaleiçi Marina, is one of the city’s most enchanting landmarks. Surrounded by ancient stone walls andoverlooked by Ottoman-era houses, it carries centuries of history within its curves. Once a bustling trade hub where merchants and sailors arrived from across the Mediterranean, today it’s a picturesque blend of past and present. The harbor’s calm turquoise waters cradle fishing boats, yachts, and tour vessels, while the air is filled with the mingling scents of sea salt and nearby cafés. Walking along its cobbled paths, you can imagine the echoes of Roman galleys and Ottoman ships, yet also enjoy modern comforts—restaurants serving fresh seafood, tea gardens with panoramic views, and boutique shops. At sunset, the scene becomes magical: golden light reflects off the water and ancient stones, while the Taurus Mountains frame the horizon. More than a historic site, the Roman Harbour is a living postcard—where history, culture, and natural beauty meet seamlessly, making it an unmissable experience in Antalya...."
