"We went in here to use the toilets and to kill a little time while waiting to get on the Sightseer bus. We were in here about half an hour and thepainting was a nice surprise. It shows the third battle of Bergisel against the Bavarians - supposedly. The attendant was keen to engage in English about the painting. Interestingly, she said the painting shows French troops attacking Hofer's men, not the Bavarians. It wasn't until I checked Wiki when I got home that I understood that the French and Napolean were very much involved. Nice little Museum all free on the Innsbruck card...."

"A very nice museum about Tyrol's past; modern architecture; friendly staff; parking is a bit expensive since you also have to pay an entrance fee;the outdoor area is very nicely designed, but the gravel area could use a tree or two...."

"The building is abandoned and the artwork has been moved to Bergisel. There's nothing to see here!"
