Haiti, part of Greater Antilles occupies the western third of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola, the remainder being occupied by the Dominican Republic. Its north coast faces the Atlantic and the south the Caribbean Sea.
The island is mostly mountainous terrain with tumbling waterfalls and pine-clad forests ideal for hikers, it also has a flat central plain to the north. The coastline hosts tranquil golden beaches and clear blue water.
